and get their day in court" Mr. Smail received his Bachelor of Arts Degree, with a duel degree in Business Administration - Marketing, and Political Science - Pre-Law from Grove City College in 1988. He finished his Juris Doctorate at Duquesne University Law School in 1997. He graduated from the Evening Program as a full time law student attending five nights a week, while maintaining a full time Officer's position in the Westmoreland County Adult Probation/Parole Office.
While earning his J.D., Mr. Smail maintained a career as an Adult Probation and Parole Office for Westmoreland County for over five years. His strong leadership ability and interpersonal communication skills provided for great success in his endeavor to become a lawyer. Professional communication with judges, lawyers and persons from all society levels additionally provided a strong base for his practice.
Mr. Smail has extensive experience with all facets of processing the law, from supervising, tracking, prosecuting and releasing probationers and parolees to now defending and representing an expansive amount of court appointed and private cases in a myriad of legal areas.
Mr. Smail is the son of the late Harry F. Smail, Sr. and Sally (Elliott) Smail, of Greensburg. Mr. Smail was born in Greensburg on February 21, 1966, and has been a lifelong resident of his hometown, where he now provides a loving home for his daughter Alexa and his radiant wife Rene. |
